Situated on a corner overlooking a leafy park, the three-star Hotel Aspromante is quiet and convenient. The Canzanella family keeps things friendly at their little place.

The 19 rooms are decorated with clean, simple lines and utilitarian furniture. Colorful accent walls and dimmer lighting add a bit of flair, and rooms are outfitted with a TV, phone and air conditioning. Private bathrooms are clean and well maintained.

Six rooms are stylish superiors decked out with canopy beds, a modern color palette and mounted flat-screen TVs. And their private bathrooms delight. Spacious and tiled in black, white and brown checks, they sport modern appliances, a massive shower and, last but not least, a working radio!

The same architect responsible for the sumptuous superiors also gave the Hotel Aspromante’s lobby a sleek gallery feel, complete with his own artwork. Keep your eye out for repurposed copper pipes and sculptures made from mixed metals.

We appreciated how the Hotel Aspromante combined modern and familial. Even the standard rooms feel a cut above, and the location and rates give you central Milan at your fingertips.

A continental breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. In the summer months, it's served on the garden patio. There is a free Internet station and free Wi-Fi throughout.
