The Bed and Breakfast Naranjo is a little charmer located in a mansion a couple blocks from the Guadalquivir River and Seville’s art museum, Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao. Inside this beauty await stained-glass surprises and antique furnishings, while standard touches like cement walls and plastic hangers “explain” those budget rates.

All 25 rooms are equipped with individually-controlled air conditioning, television and free Wi-Fi. Furnishings are basic and the faux-wooden flooring adds a bit of warmth to otherwise standard rooms. Some guestrooms have small balconies overlooking the cobblestoned Calle San Roque.

All bathrooms are private, with marble floors and bright white tiles. All are equipped with a shower, and bathtubs are available (ask ahead).

Most of the hotel’s charm is found outside the rooms. Breakfast, included in the room rate, is served in a dining room with tiled walls and an Andulusian charm. That charm extends to various sitting areas done up in a mix of leather-, silk- and satin-upholstered furniture.

Little extras like marble tables and brass mirrors delight, and stained-glass interior windows add color and class. A gift cabinet in the lobby displays fans, flamenco dancer figurines and small guitars.

0.7km to city center

There are fewer tourists in El Arenal than in Seville's other central districts, and that's part of the neighborhood's appeal. As one might expect from a less touristy 'hood, this is not the city's most popular zone for nightlife. That said, its a great place to absorb the local vibe, and great cafés and restaurants are abundant.

The neighborhood is the city's bullfighting hub, and La Maestranza, a sizeable bullring, is a main draw. On the edge of El Arenal is the Museo de Bellas Artes.
