Cheap hotels near Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy
The Boboli Gardens are located behind the Pitti Palace on Florence’s left bank (in Oltrarno). This expansive, lush landscape was a gift to Eleanora di Toledo from her then ruling husband Cosmino de’ Medici in the 1550s.
Today it serves as a public park and sculpture garden and encompasses a collection of statues that date between the 16th and 18th centuries, with a smattering from Roman antiquity.
Overall, the grounds entail 11 acres, an amphitheater, several grottos and fountains. For more information about times and entry, visit the Boboli Garden's Web site.
