Cheap hotels near Borghese Gallery in Rome, Italy
Housed in the impressive Villa Borghese, the Galleria Borghese is located north of Rome’s Spanish Steps in a mostly residential neighborhood. The museum includes a dizzying array of masterpieces, from sculptures by Bernini to paintings by Caravaggio.
It’s well worth a visit, but keep in mind that the building can only accommodate up to 360 visitors, so prepare to wait in line at busy times or go first thing in the morning for a guaranteed spot.
The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission charges apply. See the Borghese Gallery's Web site for more details.
Hotels near Borghese Gallery: There aren’t many hotel offerings near the gallery proper, but a short walk south into the “North of Termini” area lends a host of options, from hostels to three-star properties.
