Cheap hotels near Campo de'Fiori in Rome, Italy
The Campo de’Fiori, meaning "field of flowers," is a popular market square in central Rome. The surrounding area buzzes late into the night with restaurants, cafés and unique shops at every turn. The weekday morning market is best known for its produce, though a few vendors sell other items.
Make sure you spend some time checking out the square’s Renaissance-era buildings. At the square’s center there’s a statue of Giordano Bruno, burned at the stake in 1600 for "heretical ways." Notable buildings in the square include the Palazzo Spada, a picture gallery, and the old papal administration offices (at Palazzo della Cancelleria). Also worth a look is the small Renaissance church that Raphael designed, Sant’Eligio degli Orefici.
Hotels near Campo de’Fiori: Hotels in this beautifully restored neighborhood are, admittedly, on the pricier side. Head west into Colosseo and Monti for more cheap sleeps.
