Located in Paris’ fourth arrondissement, the eye-popping Centre Pompidou (or Centre Georges Pompidou) is a cultural arts complex built in a distinct and colorful “high-tech” style.
Centre Pompidou houses the Musée National d’Art Moderne (the largest modern art museum in Europe), along with a library and center for acoustic research. Aside from the great art within, the Pompidou offers great views over Paris from its terraces and escalators.
The Place Georges Pompidou, the square sloping down to the building's entrance, is a great place to hangout, eat a sandwich, and take in street performances.
