Cheap hotels near Chinese Garden in Zurich, Switzerland
Located in Zurich’s Seefeld neighborhood, Zurich’s Chinese Garden was a gift from sister city Kunming and opened in 1994. The garden occupies a prized position between Lake Zurich and the mountains, offering a picturesque and serene backdrop for its visitors.
The grounds consist of a rectangular building decorated in traditional Chinese architecture. Inside sits a tranquil garden replete with a step bridge, lily pads and meditation spots. This “water palace” is connected by a bridge to the garden’s “mainland.” Here, visitors can take in a classic Chinese archway, pavilion and bamboo grove.
The garden is open March through October from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (also on Sundays and public holidays). Trams 2 and 4 and bus 33, 912 and 916 can help get you to the front gates.
Cheap hotels near Chinese Garden: The garden is located south of most of the budget hotels that we recommend, however it's still within an easy walk of many of the hotels in Altstadt and in Hottingen.
