Grimm's Hotel am Potsdamer Platz is a hotel with a fairytale ending -- literally. The three-star hotel has brought a little bit of the Brother's Grimm into all of its rooms, making it anything but your ordinary hotel.

The hotel's 110 rooms bring storybook characters to life in playful depictions on the wallpaper and furnishings (is that Goldilocks being chased by a bear?), while tales are spelled out (in German) on other walls. Hey, if you can't sleep in the middle of the night, just read the walls!

All rooms are equipped with flat-screen TV, safe, free Wi-Fi, and many have excellent city views. All rooms have a private bath, with shower and toiletries.

The hotel is located just a few blocks south of Potsdamer Platz, which makes it convenient for visiting Mitte and Kreuzberg.

Once the heart of East Berlin, Mitte was the former East Germany's showcase hood. With the grand Unter den Linden boulevard running right through it, Mitte's grand buildings, government offices (including the awe-inspiring Reichstag), major museums, embassies, and side streets are undeniably majestic. On the north side of Mitte, cool shops and night spots lure visitors both day and night.
