Cheap hotels near Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Located in Amsterdam’s Pijp neighborhood just east of the Rijksmuseum, the old Heineken Brewery stopped making beer in 1988, but is now home to the “Heineken Experience.”
The attraction offers an interactive tour of the old brewing station. Highlights include a visit with some of the shire horses that still deliver the beverage to parts of the country, a chance to brew your own batch, and of course, a tasting.
For tickets and hours, visit the brewery's Web site. Note that children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Per Dutch law, you must be 16 to drink alcohol.
