Hotel Cristall

The three-star Hotel Cristall’s bright white façade outshines all the other drab buildings on its quiet side street. And, although it’s not the most memorable, this clean, convenient and reasonably-priced hotel is a good solid pick, especially if you have an early train to catch.

With their wall-to-wall carpeting, standard wooden hotel furniture and clunky television sets, the Hotel Cristall’s 30 guestrooms aren't the most exciting, but they come with all the standard hotel amenities, including a minibar, telephone and free Wi-Fi.

A recent renovation has updated the private bathrooms, too. Each is done up in large white tiles, and the tiny showers are fresh and clean.

We think the Hotel Cristall is a solid pick for for the fuss-free traveler in search of a clean and reasonably priced (if cramped) place to rest. And although the train station area can tend toward dodgy, the Cristall is located on a quiet, low-key street.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. While Frankfurt’s no-smoking law is only loosely enforced, the Cristall strictly adheres to a smoke-free environment.
