Venice Crush: Locanda Casa Querini

Locanda Casa Querini
Castello 4388 – Campo San Zaninovo
Venice, Italy

Doubles: €93-197

Venice can be an tricky place to find reasonable accommodations. You dream of a room facing a canal, or at least something with a nice view. And, that will cost you.

Thankfully, there are several hotels in our hotel guide to Venice where rooms with a view can be had at reasonable rates. Take, for instance, the lovely Locanda Casa Querini, where half of the 11 rooms look out onto the surprisingly tranquil Santo Giovanni Novo square.

Benefiting from its prime location minutes from San Marco square, Querini’s rooms sparkle with bright, blue tones. After our visit here, we were screaming, “Love the bedspreads, the curtains, the carpeting! Love all of it!”

Thanks for the great comment, Jeff. And, we’ll definitely be following your travels, Natalie. And, you can definitely afford to go to Venice. Read our city guide and let us know if you have any questions. Best!

  2. Finding the perfect accommodation when traveling definitely can be tough…especially when you really want that ideal location (overlooking the ocean or just one minute from the main square, for example). It’s great that travelers have these types of resources in their reach to have a relatively inexpensive travel experience. One thing that is really popular, that I would love to see discussed on this blog, is couch surfing, which I did once in Spain. What are you thoughts on this?

To me, social networking while traveling has never been better!

  3. Wow! These seems pretty posh and luxurious. I don’t know if we will be able to afford to go to Venice?

My husband and I leave on September 30th to backpack to various countries around the world for a year or so. My brother is getting married in Italy in October, so we begin our nomadic backpacking adventure in Rome.

As we have been planning for our adventure we have been updating a blog. http://www.nomadbackpackers.com We would love to have other opinions, ideas, encouragement, advice, helpful tips, and more left as comments.

    Thanks,
    Natalie
