Home to the city of Paris’ main administrative offices, including the mayor’s office, the gorgeous Hotel de Ville is much more than just any old City Hall. It’s also the city’s preferred venue for lavish receptions, and offers ice skating and a carousel for the kiddies.
Although the site of today’s Hotel de Ville has been used for governmental purposes since the 14th century, today’s building only dates back to the late 19th century when it was reconstructed in a French Renaissance style.
