Situated among a string of cute cafés, the three-star Hotel Tiffany sits in a beautiful building near Central Station. Though prices are in the upper reaches of the Cheapo limits, this hotel has too many pleasant surprises for us to do anything but highly recommend it.

The Tiffany's reception area and lounge are welcoming and chic. Photos of classic stars, including Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra, hang on the walls, and a working fireplace, sturdy wing-back chairs, and modern light fixtures round out the artsy vibe.

The 29 guestrooms are decorated in a simple, though rather regal, style. Beds have tall, gray headboards and crisp, white comforters. Every room at the Tiffany has a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric broiler, and ample countertop space. And that's not all. Along with a safe, iron, and hair dryer, every room has a free Wi-Fi connection as well.

Along with singles or doubles, there's also a Junior Suite with a whirlpool, if you really feel like splashing out! Climate-conscious Cheapos can sleep easy here, as the hotel is powered by wind energy. Make sure to enjoy breakfast at Tiffany's: the included continental spread of rolls, butter and jelly is delivered to the rooms each morning.

Central Station & Tivoli

The Central Station area is the first place most folks—business visitors and tourists alike—go to find a hotel. Trains to and from the airport can be caught at the Central Station or Hovedbanegarden. Additionally, the area is home to many of Copenhagen's main attractions.

Famed Tivoli, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum, Radhusplasden (aka Town Hall Square) and the Stroget shopping streets are all clustered near the station. Though the area is quite safe, it can seem dodgy at night, when it morphs into Copenhagen's Red Light District.
