Cheap hotels near Centre Le Corbusier in Zurich, Switzerland
Situated in Zurich’s Seefeld district, the Centre Le Corbusier is housed inside the last building that was designed by the famed Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier (1887-1965).
The museum is housed in the modern "Corbusier House" and sits inside the tranquil Chinese Garden. Inside, guests can view the architect’s etchings, sketches and drawings while strolling through one of his last great creations.
The museum was originally meant to be constructed out of concrete, but Corbusier changed his plans at the last minute and asked that it be made of steel. He died in 1965 before its completion and, in 1967, when the structure was opened to the public, critics declared it his best work.
Opening hours are limited. For visiting information, go to Centre Le Corbusier Web site.
