Cheap hotels near Leidseplein in Amsterdam, Netherlands
The Leidseplein is a public square located in the hip and chic Grachtengordel South neighborhood. Centuries ago, the square provided parking for horse-drawn carriages and was the first stop out of town if you were traveling to Leiden, a town in South Holland.
Today, the Leidseplein is a buzzing nightlife mecca. During the day, street performers and vendors fill the square, while its restaurants, nightclubs and bars come alive at night. There’s lots of shopping nearby too. Tram lines have the area covered.
Hotels near the Leidseplein: If you want to stay in the middle of the nighttime action, a hotel near the Leidseplein would be for you. While we don't recommend many hotels right off the square, there are many budget options in nearby Museumplein and a bit north in Grachtengordel South.
