One of Lisbon's smallest hipster hostels, the friendly Lisbon Lounge sleeps 44 guests with icy-blue style in Baixa.
As with its sister hostel, the Living Lounge, the Lisbon Lounge has the “design hostel” aesthetic down pat. Located in a converted residential building, the main lounge has hardwood floors, big windows, retro furniture (hey, that old stereo system works!), bean bags and funky lights. Upstairs in the third-floor lounge, a graffiti mural makes quite an impression.
The hostel is mostly geared toward its dorm rooms, which are spacious and breezy, and have bunks for four, six or eight guests. Linens are included in the nightly rate. Two of these dorm rooms are air conditioned, while the rest just have fans.
Two simple double rooms have satellite TVs, but share bathroom facilities with the dorms.
The photo-ready guest kitchen is free to use, and spot-lit wooden tables give guests plenty of room to eat. The hostel offers an impressive dinner every night: a homecooked, three-course meal and unlimited wine for only €15. That's reason enough to book a bunk! You'll also find happy hour deals, affordable bike rentals, free walking tours, pub crawls, and more when you stay at the Lisbon Lounge.
The hostel doesn't have a TV lounge, but there is a DVD player with projector that's fired up for movie nights.
Breakfast is included in the nightly rate. Wi-Fi is free and accessible throughout. Note that the hostel does not have an elevator, and rooms are located on three floors.

Essentials
- Air conditioning
- Wi-Fi: Free
Location: Very central
0.7km to city centerThe grid-shaped Baixa neighborhood was completely rebuilt following Lisbon’s devastating 1755 earthquake. Today the area functions as the city's chief shopping area, offering everything from boutiques to tourist traps. Two large streets, rua Augusta and rua de Santa Justa, are pedestrian-only thoroughfares.
Baixa is an easy jumping-off point for seeing the rest of the city. Praça Rossio, sitting at the top of Baixa, is the city's most active square. At the base of Baixa is the Praça do Comércio, a square of wide arcades adjacent to the river.
