Cheap hotels near Montjuic in Barcelona, Spain
Dominating the city to the southwest, Montjuic is a steep flat-topped hill that offers excellent views out over the city and harbor, especially from its eastern side.
Several fortifications can be found on Montjuic, including the famous 17-century Castell de Montjuic. The castle has served various purposes since its construction, including as a prison (during the 19th century) and a site for many high-profile executions.
When visiting today, plan time for the neighborhood’s several top-notch museums, including the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and CaixaForum.
