The Rushmore Hotel has styled each of its 22 rooms with an individual theme, making the three-star hotel stand out from the crowd as a fun, cozy and intimate stay.

We love that each room at Rushmore Hotel has unique décor. A sunshine-themed room is done up in yellow linens and wallpaper, with framed pictures of sunny landscapes. Another room celebrates the ocean with blue bedspreads, splashed walls and hanging framed paintings of boats out at sea. The “Red Room” is rather loud and only for the color-friendly.

Every room is outfitted with coffee and tea facilities, a TV and phone.

The private bathrooms are on the tiny side, but they are clean and offer a hairdryer and toiletries.

The Rushmore Hotel stands out in this business-class area for its intimacy and splash of personality. And the staff is helpful and friendly, to boot.

A continental breakfast is included in the room rate, and Wi-Fi is free throughout. Note that the hotel does not have an elevator.

Earls Court

Young by London standards, the area known as Earls Court wasn’t much more than a farm until the city decided to build Earls Court station in the 1860s. Located south of Hyde Park and west of pricier Kensington and Chelsea, Earls Court was popular with newcomers to the city, attracted by lower rents throughout the 20th century.

Today, the area is a mix of working class and gentrified developments, combining beautiful Georgian townhouses, quiet squares, cheap fast food restaurants, gay nightlife, and a youthful buzz on the streets. The neighborhood offers innumerable anonymous budget hotels.
