Covering 58 acres and surrounded by three palaces (Buckingham, Westminster and St. James), the park offers a lake replete with geese, ducks and pelicans. The Mall in St. James’s features the Queen’s ceremonial carriage route. It leads from Buckingham Palace and whisks her off to national events and celebrations, including the recent royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
