Step inside to view the gilded, Byzantine mosaics. Head downstairs to visit St. Mark’s relics, located in a crypt beneath the church. Or just stand outside and admire the stonework.
The church is open daily. Remember to wear appropriate clothing. Note too the use of headphones is strictly off-limits and no luggage can be brought into the church. For opening times, guided tours and admission fees, visit the Basilica’s site.
