Another attractive new option in Berlin, the H2 hotel combines contemporary decor with modern conveniences at a winning Mitte location. 

This H2 is a whopper, with 288 rooms and a lobby that buzzes with activity (and a shop that stays open) all night long. The hotel's location, just two blocks up the street from Alexanderplatz (the TV tower and S- and U-Bahn stations), is a convenient selling point.

Rooms are equipped with modern conveniences (flat-screen TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi) and private bathrooms. A "bubble"-themed piece of art doubles as a headboard and makes a quirky contribution to the H2 hotel's water theme.

A generous breakfast is included in the room rate.
