Located on the northern half of an island that sits in the middle of the Spree river in the heart of Berlin, the Museum Island is home to five internationally famous museums. This cultural complex consists of such heavyweights as the Pergamon Museum, Bode Museum and Alte Nationalgalerie, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
