The Ibis Styles Berlin Mitte makes a very attractive offer: Comfortable rooms with hip decor and a location right on the trendy border of Mitte and Prenzlauerberg. Add the low rates that the chain is known for, and you've got a winning Cheapo deal.

As with the other Ibis Styles outposts in town, this hotel is blessed with a location that anyone shopping or going out in Berlin will find convenient. It's literally located next to the Rosenthaler Platz U-Bahn station, a quick walk to the heart of either Prenzlauerberg or Mitte.

The hotel's 145 rooms are decorated with a fun and quirky sense of style. Accent walls throw a burst of color into rooms, and furnishings are modular (Ibis all the way), but still playful. All rooms are furnished with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a private bath.

A full breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and served downstairs.

Prenzlauer Berg

One of Berlin's funkiest hoods, Prenzlauer Berg sits to the northeast of Mitte. Speckled with cute restaurants, cafés, and funky retail shops, PB's claims to bohemianism predate the post-reunification creep of gentrification. Prenzlauer Berg was a Jewish neighborhood before the rise of the Nazis and a somewhat arty area in the former East Germany. The weekly markets held on Kollwitzplatz and Helmholtzplatz provide additional draws.
