Cheap hotels near MACBA in Barcelona, Spain
The Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (or "MACBA" for short), Barcelona's contemporary art museum, is located on the Plaça dels Àngels in the northern quarter of el Raval, near the city's university.
The museum, designed by American architect Richard Meier, opened in 1995 and provides a collection of mostly Spanish and Catalan art spanning from 1945 to today. For more information, including admission prices and hours, visit the museum’s Web site.
The CCCB, a museum devoted to urban-related exhibits, is adjacent to the MACBA and accessible through the museum’s patio.
Cheap hotels near the MACBA: The museum is located in the Raval, a neighborhood with several budget hotels that we've visited and recommend. You could also consider heading a bit east to the hotels lining the Ramblas.
