The Bloemgracht, literally meaning “flower canal,” is a canal located in the Jordaan neighborhood of central Amsterdam. Walking along the canal, you get a sense of Amsterdam at its most romantic. Gabled houses (many of which date to the 1600’s) and top-notch boutiques abound here.
Linking the two thoroughfares of Prinsengracht and Lijnbaansgracht, this tranquil canal is sometimes referred to as the "Herengracht of the Jordan" for its picturesque landscape. Make sure to cross a bridge and take a tour on both sides of the water for an optimal experience. Take note of the plaques overhead, as many homes here hold historic significance.
